This Shipping Policy explains how we process, ship, and deliver orders placed through our online shop.


 

1. Shipping Destinations

We currently ship:

Within Germany and to select international destinations

Available shipping options for your location will be shown during checkout.

If your country is not listed, please contact us at support@memories-that-matter.com and we will do our best to help.

 

2. Shipping Costs

Shipping costs depend on:

  • Your delivery address (Germany or international), and
  • The number of books included in your order

The exact shipping cost for your order will always be displayed at checkout, before you complete your purchase.

If your order cannot be processed automatically (for example, orders above certain quantities), you may be prompted to contact us for a personalised shipping arrangement.

 

3. Delivery Times

Delivery times vary depending on your location and the shipping method selected at checkout.

Typical delivery times are:

  • Germany: Typically, a few business days
  • International: Varies by destination

All delivery times shown at checkout are estimates, not guarantees.

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a confirmation email.

Please note that customs processing, local postal conditions, or unforeseen events may affect delivery times.

 

4. Order Processing

Orders are usually processed within two business days after payment is received.

During busy periods or holidays, processing may take slightly longer.

If we anticipate a significant delay, we will notify you by email.

 

5. Shipping Methods

We use established shipping partners for both domestic and international shipments.

The available methods for your destination will be shown during checkout.

For larger order sizes or for certain destinations, we may arrange custom shipping

If this applies to your order, we will contact you directly for instructions.

 

6. Orders Exceeding Standard Quantities

For larger orders (e.g., more than a few books in one shipment), shipping may not be calculated automatically.

In such cases, the checkout page may display a message such as “Please contact us for a shipping quote.”

  • 7. Delivery Issues

Please inspect your package upon delivery and notify the carrier immediately if it arrives damaged or opened in transit.  Then contact us with a copy of the carrier's acknowledgement.

Please contact us directly if the package

  • Contains an item(s) other than that ordered
  • Appears to be incomplete

We will work with you to resolve the issue quickly.

If a package cannot be delivered due to incorrect or incomplete address information provided, additional shipping charges may apply.

 

 

8. Risk of Loss (EU Consumer Orders)

For consumer orders within the EU, the risk of loss or damage passes to you only when you (or a third party nominated by you) physically receive the goods, as required by EU consumer law.

If you choose your own independent carrier (not offered on our site), risk passes to you once we hand the goods to that carrier
